Flumperscoots seem to sleep all day and night. They wouldn't even move if it wasn't for their magical spheres that roll them about when they need to travel. Most of their traveling seems to be relocating to different places to sleep. Silly sleepy Flumperscoots!
(Flumperscoot is Jez's word. A color version based on this sketch will be coming soon.)
That is a creation worthy of Miyazaki.
ReplyDeleteI have but one question -- how do they go from laying to mounting their travel orbs? Do they just climb up there? I posit that they flop over onto their backs and their spheres roll over them. Then they grab on and the sphere rotates them to the top.
Ooooh, Larry! Yes, that is exactly it! They roll over and their magical travel orbs roll onto and rotate them to the top. Then the magical sphere creates a silky barrier that keeps the flumperscoot suspended on top as the orb rolls forwards or backwards.
